FIRE EXERCISE

SUCCESSFUL FIRE DRILL BY THE LEONDING VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

07.06.23

On 7 June, our monthly after-work drink was accompanied by some "action": A simulated fire drill, conducted by the Leonding Volunteer Fire Department, surprised one or two colleagues who didn't know about it! The exercise involved a simulated fire in a technical room near the loading bays and put our emergency procedures to the test.

The firefighters demonstrated their skills and efficiency in containing the simulated fire with water from the pool behind our warehouse. We were very happy to make our company building available for this purpose and recognised the importance of testing our internal processes under realistic conditions. Our fire safety officers were of course also on site and actively participated in the simulation.

We are proud of the exemplary behaviour of our employees, as they immediately gathered at the agreed assembly point when the alarm was triggered, demonstrating that quick action can be important. We are also firmly convinced that the safety of our employees and the protection of our premises are of paramount importance and that such an exercise makes a significant contribution to this.

It is unfortunate to hear that not every company makes its premises fully available for such important exercises. We believe in a close partnership with our local fire brigade and are proud to contribute to their preparations. We are deeply grateful to the Leonding Volunteer Fire Department for organising this important training session and would like to express our sincere appreciation for their commitment to the safety of our community.
