PV-CARPORT PROJECT

A MILESTONE IN ENERGY GENERATION

09.04.24

At G. Klampfer, we are constantly striving to develop innovative solutions to promote the use of renewable energy while offering our customers practical and efficient solutions. With this goal in mind, we are delighted to present our latest project: the construction of a model PV carport in collaboration with our valued partners, the construction companies Ing. Harald Weissel GmbH, Bernegger GmbH and Kulmer Holz-Leimbau GesmbH.

The PV carport that we created together is a true masterpiece of modern energy generation. With an output from 14.8 kWp, it is not only an effective way of producing environmentally friendly electricity, but also aesthetically pleasing and extremely functional. A key feature of this project is the 40 bifacial PV modules, each with an output of 370 watts. Due to their bifacial nature, these modules can generate up to 15% more power than conventional modules, resulting in even more efficient energy production.

The preparatory work, including the excavation work and asphalting, was carried out by Weissel GmbH, whose expertise and commitment made a significant contribution to the success of the project. The pillars of the carport are made of precast concrete elements manufactured by the renowned company Bernegger GmbH. Each of these precast concrete elements weighs an impressive 3 tonnes, providing not only a solid foundation but also impressive durability. The construction of the roof was carried out by Kulmer Holz-Leimbau GesmbH, using state-of-the-art purlin rafters to ensure a stable and reliable structure. In addition, the PV carport is completely waterproof so that rain or snow cannot penetrate, ensuring the longevity and protection of the vehicles underneath. The entire electrical installation was carried out by our team in-house to ensure that every detail meets our high standards.

Although our PV carport is currently only a sample carport, we are proud to say that it can easily be extended to meet any car parking needs. The span between the precast concrete elements is an impressive 7.5 metres, which means that our sample carport can accommodate up to five cars. This project marks a milestone in our pursuit of sustainable energy generation and we are excited about the opportunities it presents. We are grateful for the close collaboration with our valued partners and look forward to continuing to develop innovative solutions together to create a more sustainable future.
